Carlo Aquino Makes His Directorial Debut

Actor and singer Carlo Aquino enters a new phase in his career as he direct and star in the official music video of his latest single "Balisong (Transformed)."

Also starring are his former co-stars Shaina Magdayao, Ms. Nadia Montenegro and Mr. Rommel Padilla, the music video tells the story of a couple’s most special moment - their wedding day. Carlo plays the husband-to-be opposite Shaina, with Ms. Nadia and Mr. Rommel as the bride’s parents. One may recall that the actors were part of the 2017 ABS-CBN drama “The Better Half.” They even played the same characters!

Carlo is known for his various TV and Film appearances, including Bata, Bata, Pa’no Ka Ginawa?, the Tanging Ina series, Heneral Luna, Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral, and Exes Baggage. He also appeared in the 2019 movie Ulan with Nadine Lustre. His latest film project was with Maine Mendoza in Isa Pa With Feelings (October 16, 2019).

Carlo currently has two singles released under Ivory Music & video, namely “Komplikado” (March 29, 2019) and “Balisong (Transformed)” (August 30, 2019). Before going solo, Carlo was part of bands Kollide and JCS (Star Magic boy band, alongside John Pratts and Stefano Mori). He has also sung songs for the soundtracks of productions he was part of, including a rap track for 2018 movie Meet Me in St. Gallen.
