DONDON MONTEVERDE'S VIRTUAL MUSIC LAUNCHES FIRST SINGLES OF NEW TALENTS GWYNETH DORADO & ERIC ALLEN

DONDON MONTEVERDE’S Virtual Playground Talent Agency has branched out into producing songs in Virtual Music and the first artists that they are launching were introduced in Regal Valencia: Gwyneth Dorado, Erik Allen and John Vic de Guzman.

Their singles will be released by Enterphil Inc. under Ivory Music.

Gwyneth is 17 years old and was discovered when she became a finalist in “Asia’s Got Talent” in 2015 when she was 10 years old.

She then did theatre and appeared in musicals like “Annie” and “The Sound of Music”.

She started writing her own songs in 2017 and some of her songs have since been used in the movies, like “Laro-Laro” in the movie “Pansamantagal”, in Reality Entertainment’s “Happy Times” and in Regal’s “Seasons” starring Lovi Poe and Carlo Aquino.

She’s a second year high school student in UST and she plans to take a music-related course in college.

She has an amazing vocal range. During the presscon, she did a birit number in “Movie in My Mind” from “Miss Saigon” and also a rap number.

But her launching single, “Tulala”, is a touching hugot song which she wrote while she’s all alone in her room.

“It’s not really a love song,” she says. “It’s about how we become tulala when terrible things happen, like the pandemic.

"Singing for me is a good coping mechanism when we are faced with problems and the song carries an inspirational message about not giving up as it says that after the darkness, sisikat din ang araw.

"I hope listeners can relate to its message.”

As for Eric Allen, he is 21 years old, a 3rd year college student at UST majoring in biochemistry.

This is the first time he ventures into showbiz.

“My uncles are into basketball and they’re friends with Mr. Charlie Dy who is CEO of Virtual Playground Sports Management Agency,” he says.

“They presented me to Mr. Dy and he listened to me and now, may recording na ako.”

His song is titled “Langoy”, which is about learning how to swim in the sea of life that offers many challenges.

It addresses the anxieties and apprehensions that we might have in life.

He himself has written it and he says he says he has several other songs that he has finished composing.

His favorite local singer-composer is Ogie Alcasid. Erik stands 6’2” and was being groomed to be a basketball player, but in school, he focused on fencing.

Now, he’s trying showbiz and is willing to go into acting.

“I really want to thank Virtual Music for giving me the chance to record my song,” he says.

“This is a validation na may naniniwala pala sa talent ko. I feel so thankful and blessed for the opportunity they gave me.”

“Langoy” is now trending in youtube and both Erik and Gwyneth’s songs will be available in all digital music stores.

The third singer Virtual Music is launching is John Vic de Guzman, who is the team captain of the Philippine Volleyball Team.

He was not present at the launch as he is currently taping for GMA-7’s new soap, “Abot Kamay na Pangarap”, where he plays a doctor who is a colleague of lead star Jillian Ward.

His song is “Mahal Kita, Teka Muna”, composed by Director Joven Tan, who is also the music producer of Virtual Music.
